State Street Association Services

The State Street Area Association believes that a neighborhood is a living thing which requires constant care and nurturing. Working with the University of Michigan, the City of Ann Arbor, the Downtown Development Authority, the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce, the Convention and Visitors Bureau and a host of other partners, the Association works daily to enhance the social, economic, and cultural health of this area.

From our attention to the look of the streetscape to our investment in providing adequate local parking,the Association supports its members with a number of services that directly build neighborhood health. We clean the sidewalks every day. Every spring we plant 21 sidewalk planters with Michigan annual flower varieties. Every winter we clear the sidewalks of snow and ice. We have installed security cameras in neighborhood alleys and walkthroughs. We help coordinate refuse collection and recycling. We manage over 150 parking spaces in our neighborhood structures for members and their employees. The board and staff of the Association are always available to help members, residents, businesses, professional offices, students, and visitors enjoy this neighborhood and make it the best it can be.

Members also have an exclusive access to our members only area here at the website. They are able to post job openings at no cost and participate in the on-going members forum where we share information, ideas, and promotions.
